Grammar checkers built for English stop at the surface.
Arabic is a root-and-pattern language: the same three letters spell dozens of words, hamzas move with grammar, and case endings change meaning. A checker that only matches dictionaries misses most of it. WriteX models morphology and semantics as their own categories, which is why it catches errors Microsoft Word never sees.
- Hamza placement rules with the pedagogy behind each fix.
- Number agreement, genitive case, and the traps professionals still fall into.
- Proper names checked against a knowledge base, not a wordlist.
On the company benchmark sentence, Microsoft Word flags 2 errors; WriteX flags 6, each with the grammatical rule explained.
Frequently asked questions
Is this really the production engine?
Yes. Text you type here is checked by the same WriteX engine that serves app.lisan.com; the suggestions and explanations are its real output, not a canned demo. The page demo is capped at 2000 characters; the full editor has no such limit.
Is my text stored?
No. The demo passes your text to the engine for checking and returns the suggestions. Nothing you type on this page is saved to a document or used to train anything.
Which languages does the free checker handle?
Arabic and English are checked right here, and the language is detected automatically as you type: paste Arabic and the editor flips to right-to-left, paste English and it flips back. Spanish is coming soon, built on the Correcto models.
How do I see why something is flagged?
Hover any underline (or focus it with the keyboard) and a card opens with the category, the suggested form, and the grammatical rule behind it, exactly as in the app. Click the suggestion to apply it, or Ignore to dismiss.
